Today, I will be grateful. I will be grateful for the mystery that is this life. I will acknowledge, with deep gratitude, the unknown, the unseen, the unheard, the unthought, the unimagined, the unrecognized, the unintelligible, the unbearable, the undiscovered, the unbelievable universe that holds me in its cosmic womb. I will bow a deep bow of gratitude for my abundant blessings, great and small. I will pause so my mind and heart can see and feel the limitless grace bestowed upon me. I will strive to be a conduit for that grace to all who cross my path. I will bow a deep bow to my suffering, great and small, and acknowledge that my suffering will guide my mind and heart to the greatest possible compassionate wisdom. I will strive to become a conduit for that compassionate wisdom for all who cross my path. I will acknowledge Mother Earth and all my plant, animal, and mineral siblings who sustain me at all times with their kind presence. I will honor them by walking mindfully on my path. I will be grateful for the moon, the sun, the winds, the rain, the heat, the cold, the hard, the soft, the heavy, the light, the ease, the dis-ease, the straight, the twisted, the resonant, the dissonant, the ups, the downs, the outside, and the inside. I will be grateful to me. I will be grateful to you. I will be grateful for the me that is you, and the you that is me. I will be grateful for the limitless love within that in all ways and always nurtures me. I will be grateful for the limitless love that surrounds and ceaselessly sustains me. Today, I will be grateful.
